Qualification Overview:
Stakeholder consultations, community feedback, staff meetings and focus groups are just some of the many areas that require expert facilitation skills. This new qualification program is aimed at both experienced presenters and line managers who are called on to facilitate group meetings.
The Diploma in Facilitation Skills offers a progressive and comprehensive experience about facilitation as a function. This program provides exposure to a variety of processes and tools that can be used to achieve a number of outcomes, such as managing group dynamics in a meeting, extracting and gathering data regarding a project, mapping data or even assisting group decision making.
This experiential style program immerses participants in extensive activities devised to enhance interpersonal skills and offer a high level of engagement.
The weighting of theory, practice and demonstrations in this program has been balanced to enable participants ample opportunity to experience, learn and practice ‘how to’ facilitate with the guidance, feedback and coaching of AIM Facilitators.
This program aim is to offer participants an opportunity to improve how they relate and work with individuals and groups of people by way of selecting effective and suitable processes in order for them to achieve an outcome.
Who will Benefit:
Supervisors, team leaders, managers, trainers, facilitators and consultants who are required to collaborate with individuals or a group of people to achieve an outcome. The skills learned are equally applicable to participants who deal with internal or external stakeholders.
Requirements to Receive the Diploma of Facilitation Skills:
Participants are required to complete specific projects and assignments relating to each of the two programs, or apply for skills recognition.
Skills Recognition is a process that enables those who are interested in gaining the qualification to be granted exemption from some or all training programs.
Assessment:
To progress towards attaining the Diploma qualification, participants are required to complete specific projects and assignments relating to each of the two modules. These assessment requirements include:
Participants are required to design and facilitate a session on the last day of the Facilitation Skills — Master Class program that is related to their role responsibilities at work. Participants will be offered feedback and coaching that will be documented, which needs to be offered as evidence toward the final assignment.

Download the Information Kit and complete the Application Form to register onto the qualification. Mail, fax or email signed Application Form to AIM.
Step 2: Enrol on each individual program in your qualification
You will need to enrol on each of the programs that form part of your qualification individually, as each will have a various dates for you to choose from.

- Add yourself or Add Attendee to the program
