AIM WA Announces New CEO

The Australian Institute of Management Western Australia today announced Professor Gary Martin is appointed to succeed Patrick Cullen as CEO and Executive Director of the Institute. Professor Martin will commence his appointment on 30 January 2012.

Professor Martin brings over 20 years of experience in education and management. He is currently Senior Deputy Vice Chancellor at Murdoch University where he has responsibility for a number of both Academic and Service Divisions within the university.

“After an extensive national search, I am delighted to welcome Gary Martin as the Institute's new CEO” said the Institute’s Chairman Keith Spence.

Gary has a strong teaching, consulting and leadership background and has excelled at Murdoch University where he made a significant and positive impact over a number or years.”

I would like to acknowledge and thank Patrick for his contribution over his 16 years of excellent leadership of the Institute. He leaves the Institute in great shape. The Institute is the market leader in the learning and development industry. It is positioned extremely well to continue to play a key role in the ongoing development of management and leadership skills in the Australasian region.
